DE-CONSTRUKT [projekts] based in Red Hook, Brooklyn is excited to announce our artist residency opportunities for 2017. We provide artists and curators with a place to live, work and engage with other artists and the local community of Red Hook. Our 2600 sq. loft is equipped with a dark room, wet sink, modern kitchen, and lots of natural light. It also includes accessible on-street parking, access to our large studio for hosting public events and for working (when available) and a fully furnished bedroom.

Our residency program started in 2013. We have hosted artists from Costa Rica, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Iceland, Germany, England, and Israel. Past work includes painting, music, video, public intervention, installation, workshops, and film screenings.

We provide a space to develop new ideas, create temporal work and provide encouragement to form new networks. For reference visit our projekts featured on our web site.

Artists are required to stay at least 2 weeks. Residency fee for two weeks is $500 (1 person) and must be paid in full before arrival. Artists are responsible for all expenses including supplies and travel. Artists can request work exchange for partial coverage of residency fee, if available.
